My mommy sent me this email today:

“thinking of you…on this day in 1986 corey hart’s ‘boy in the box’ album hit the 1 million mark in sales.

think of anyone who at age 8 was a fan? lol!
I think the letter you got back from him is somewhere among all the stuff i have saved over the years. CBC just played ‘i wear my sunglasses’ ……. amazing how a song can bring back such vivid memories of a small girl bopping around a sparsely furnished living room singing along to that song, but then again, you do know how a song can create and sustain memories!
Love you….have a great day and wear your sunglasses!  momma bea xxoo”

Yes! i DID write a fan letter to Corey Hart, and he did write me back…..i also remember the record got warped so we put it in the oven to warm it up and mold it back but mom forgot it was in there and it melted in the oven and the whole apt smelled like burnt rubber for like a month.

enjoy
